Please read this fantabulous article:)

Ladies, how about four husbands?

JAN 13 — Recently, an article written by Nadine al-Bedair My Four Husbands and I created a furor among the Saudi conservatives. The said essay was picked up by the English media, though it hardly mustered a mention in Malaysia.

Reading it, I thought Khaled Diab’s analysis of al Bedair’s prose as honest, practical and that Bedair put forth her arguments wittily.

Diab commented, “Nadine al-Bedair quite sensibly posed the logical question: if Muslim men are entitled to marry up to four wives, why can’t women, in the spirit of equality between believers, have four husbands?

“I have long questioned why it is men have a monopoly on this right. No one has been able to explain to me convincingly why it is I’m deprived of the right to polyandry,” she complains.

The outspoken Saudi then goes on to deconstruct and question the traditional justifications for polygamy, including that, in a traditional patriarchal society, it is a shelter for widows, divorcees and women who can’t find a spouse; that men have greater sexual appetites than women and get easily bored; that women can’t handle more than one man; and that, if women could have multiple husbands, determining paternity would not be possible (an excuse made obsolete by modern science).”

“They tell me that I, as a woman, can’t handle more than one man physically. I say that women who cheat on their husbands and the ‘sellers of love’ [ie. prostitutes] do much more,” she counters.

I have to agree: what makes people think that women are truly the weaker sex and can barely handle one man’s ferocious appetite for sex?

Because I know many women who play out of their relationships and marriages, and there’s a growing number of polyamorous types walking and living in this city.

And do think about it: with women being more educated and financially independent, what can ONE MAN offer her? Not all men are good in bed, you know.

One man for love, one man for money, one man for sex and one man for great deep meaningful conversation.

And before you boys get riled up and start waving your er, ‘keris’ to prove your manhood, observe the more up-market hotel lounges and coffeehouses. Those ladies who lunch and look like boiled eggs? You think the boys with them are their SONS?

So. Let’s say we want to halalkan zina. Perhaps by legitimising the affairs, women too should be allowed four husbands.

“Ha? You dah gila ke. Laki satu pun dah pening, nak empat lagi?” A friend was incredulous.

Ah, ladies. This is where we err. Allow me to quote a good friend who is KL’s style maven: Dzireena Mahadzir. In her last column she told us to think like a man. And to think like a man is to compartmentalise. Remember!

One man for love

One man for money.

One man for sex

One man for great deep meaningful conversation.

You repeat all the four lines 1,000 times a day in front of you mirror. InsyAllah.

I have this friend who’s a Shiite and she’s younger than me. Devout, she has had six husbands already.

“Oh my God, you’re only 30 and you’ve had six husbands?!”

“Dina, I kahwin mutaah! We Shiites can do so!”

“What on earth is that?” Kahwin lari I had heard. Mutaah no.

According to the Jakim website: “Nikah Mutaah (kahwin kontrak) iaitu meletakkan syarat untuk menjadi pasangan suami isteri buat sementara atau beberapa tahun sahaja.

Wah, I also want la. I want to be Malaysia’s Elizabeth Taylor! I want I want!

Now what is the argument against polyandrous women?

The very enlightening and humorous book on genetics and evolution Why Beautiful People Have More Daughters by Alan S. Miller and Satoshi Kanazawa explains what monogamy, polygyny and polyandry are. Monogamy is the marriage of one man to one woman while polygyny is the marriage of one man to more than one woman.

Polyandry is the marriage of one woman to more than one man. Polygamy is the more popular term for polygyny, though the term refers to both.

“Now, the fact that polyandry is very rare in human society decidedly does not mean that married women have always been faithful to their husbands and mated with one man. On the contrary, human females have been promiscuous throughout their evolutionary history.”

The issue of paternity arises as men decide to stake claims on their progeny, and while polygynous men would be able to discern whose child is whose (which wife), with polyandrous women, it would be much, much harder. Sperm from different males have to fight with each other to impregnate the female.

Which is why the human penis is shaped the way it is.

The book quoted Gordon G Gallup and his collaborators. “The shape of the human penis… is shaped like a wedge.”

When a human male and human female copulate, the thrusting motions the penis makes “would be to draw foreign semen back away from the cervix…

“So in the case of polyandrous females, their males partners will be competing to scoop out rival sperms.

“In other words, the human penis is a semen displacement service.”

It’s a shovel.

So there you have it, my dear readers. The scientific reason behind the move against polyandry: safeguarding your progeny. Me Tarzan you Jane and this is my monkey.

Truth is, at least among my women friends and me, fidelity and monogamy are the most practical options. I quote another friend, “Aiyo, kalau one man dah berapa round, ni nak empat, mati keras aku woi…”

Readers with no sense of humour are not allowed to read my column.

Readers who think they are smarter than everyone else who reads TMI are not allowed to read my column.

Readers who think they are the next Messiah and already have a place in Heaven definitely CANNOT read my column.

Before any further ado, let me give some credit to Dina Azman.A very good piece i gotta say and well said.Im not sure if she's a feminist but who cares huhu..I would love to receive comments from the readers especially the ladies but i also welcome the opposite. What do you think? The points are pretty solid though huhu..i just love it!Hahaha..It's sort of a tongue in the cheek type of article. In the wholistic view, it's 'geography/sociology vs religion' or in other words complicated.Just like one of my former lecturer, which happened to be a feminist. So every time i came to her lecture i prefer to keep my mouth shut rather then to join the healthy academic discussion. It's a never ending discussion,no doubt.

Back to the article, on the other hand, i gotta say i enjoy the idea of having 'four husbands'--one man for love, one man for money, one man for sex and one man for heart to heart conversation but ONLY in theory. But i still can't throw away all the imagination, especially my man no.2(money),well you know..buy me all the goodies i love/want/need.There's just a lot of things that i wanna have--new handphone(SE Aino), a new boot from Charles and Keith(oh im so dying to have it.i must have it!),a brand new Gucci wallet(i think so..or was it Chanel?Hmmm..), Baby Phat slim bag..Err..Do you still want me to carry on?Oh!And also..my imaginary man no.2 also can spend lots and lots of money on me mostly on traveling hehehe..I can go to many places i want, just at the tip of my finger.I pick Korea, i go to Korea.I pick Hong Kong Disneyland, then Hond Kong Disneyland is where i am the next day huhu..

Bottomline, all of this is only a gibberish talk so do not take it personally and seriously, okay?Of course i can afford all these if i want, if and only if i work hard and start savings hehehe*wink* If a guy reading this, please don't judge me by simply assuming that im a materialistic or any whatsoever term that you have in your mind. You don't know me.It's just that i have great and better taste than yours, that's all.Hehehe..

For Men Only

Today's mood is sort of jiwang2 hehe..So i was thinking to write about a relationship in another side of view. When we talk about love, people will give different opinions about it and usually their first impression about love is mostly similar--Hurtful.Really?Is that what you think?Tell me what you think.Okay..Back to the subject, when ones are asked about their impressions, i believe the first thing that came across to their mind before giving in their answers are their recent bad relationship. That is why, i supposed, they said love is hurtful.I believe all of us ever been in a relationship and it surely matured us in many ways, a lesson learned indeed.Love can never hurt ones who are in love.No..That is just not the way it is.But why? What's the problem?

To some people, the problem that occurs to them is money problem, third party problem(this can be either from both sides and/or also the parents' involvement), communication poblem and many more problems to be listed here. These problems somehow interrelated to one another in a way.Can you believe that?Relationship can be the most complicated matter in the universe.Men can never understand women.Never can, yes no sir, and never will..So my aim is to make you guys out there to understand the so-called complexity side of a woman. Are you ready?

1. Quality time. When you are spending your quality time with your girlfriend make sure you do not involve 'friends' in it.That's why we called it quality time together.Especially when you are in a long-distance relationship.Do i have to explain?Okay for one thing, you seldom met your girlfriend and you only got the chance like for few days.Appreciate it.

2. Communication.Like i said communication is the most basic important thing in a relationship.Always communicate with your partner.Tell her what's in your mind. It's not that hard, isn't it?The relationship soon gonna be dead due to the lack of communication.

3.Attention.Attention guys..attention!Women always need attention for heaven sake.So give them what they want i.e. attention.Give a little time of yours to her, show her that you care.Sometimes the word 'i love you' just not enough. So what if you love her if you left her out from your cirlce? She needs to feel needed--that you need her.Seriously, this factor always become the major probem in every relationship and this is huge factor why your partner is cheated on you, somehow(not only women but also men).Just because you cannot give them this tiny littlest thing for her.Of course the girl has no intention at all to cheat her boyfriend but when she needs someone to talk to the boyfriend was busy with his own thing. At the same time his place is inevitably replace by another guy who care her as much as he does. This guy listen to her, understand her, and most importantly...he communicates with her.Of course you don't want this to happen right? We all deserve to be happy.

4.Coax.Women always go sulky sometimes with no reason.Assume that you have a little argument with your girlfriend. At the end of the argument you apologised and asked her if everything isokay between you two.A gentle reminder, when she said 'I'm okay' never believe her.Guys..when we said we are okay the fact is we are not okay. Not at all.Bare in mind!Don't you just walk away from the scene happily, pretending nothing has happened. So when we said 'I'm okay' that's is where you play your part--charm us.The best way i think is by admitting all your fault. That's a good start.Simiarly, when we're quiet or ignore you,ask us (your girlfriend) what is wrong and give us the attention that we demand respectively. Also when we try to walk away from you especially in the heat of argument, follow us. Try to grab our hand and don't ever let go when we push or hit you(ala..pukul2 manja). Then we star to curse you guys and give names.Again, persuade us and let us hear all the magical words i.e. you tell your girlfriend that you love her.

5.Be sensitive. It's your girlfriend for god sake!Men need to learn how to jaga perasaan of their women. You guys are really poor at this part.Be a good listener especially when she is feeling down. When you see your girlfriend start crying, hold her and tell her that everything that will be alright.Your girlfriend need to hear all this kata-kata hikmah.Simple isn't it?It's not that hard actually.

6.Doubt.Oh hoho..it's a tiny simple word with a strong meaning.Guys,we ONLY have doubts when we sense something fishy is going on.We won't accuse our boyfriend for nothing. To have doubts sometimes could kill a healthy relationship in a blink of an eye.If this ever occur to you(not only men but also women), back yourself up.Explain the situation--what, how and why.If she's not buying it, well you may ask your friend to back you up huhu...The important note here is, convince and reassure your girlfriend over and over and over and over again(until your girlfriend sick and tired hearing all this huhu)

Overall, im not an expert okay. It's just that...i just wanna share my opinions with all of you based on my experience and what i've heard from someone i know.We have committed stupid mistakes in the past relationship. We lose 'em.We certainly don't want to lose on what we already have now, right? And we absolutely don't want to repeat that stupid mistake over and over again with the same stupid ending.Love is so beautiful as a matter of fact. It's just that people are so dumb to learn or to appreciate the love that they have now.Appreciate your loved one people.Your family, friends, cousins, kekasih angkat, tunang angkat, whoever he/she is.

p/s: i strongly forbid the so-called forbidden love(the "kekasih angkat" etc).jangan kacau hak orang..berdosa meruntuhkan surau(unmarried couple) and masjid (married couple) orang.

Rise N Shine

Good morning everyone..Take your breakfast already?Im having mine right now(a packet of Cream-O blueberry flavoured cookies and a hot glass of milo)hehe...I wanted to have pancakes as my breakfast but then im so lazy to hit the stove huhu..Speaking of which, i have story to share with you.Last night i went out with my mom.We went to Gadong just to check out the cardio set that my mom wanted to buy for me and also to see if i agree with her choices.I asked her to remind me to buy a tin of condensated milk later coz earlier my mom bought me Teh C Special(so i can make one for myself, im heavily addicted to that particular drink).Just our of interest, during my holiday trip to KK last month, i went out for lunch at one of the restaurant near the Universiti Malaysia Sabah(UMS).So i order myself a tuna sandwich and teh c special.I tell you what, there is nothing compares to teh c special in Brunei.I seriously mean it.I have a sip of my drink...dengan muka yang maha bangang, what the heck am i drinking?i didn't feel like im drinking teh c special.that drink didn't taste anything like teh c special. It cost me RM7.50 for nothing!Oh now i remember, the name of the restaurant is Getaran Jiwa. But the food is not bad.The place is also clean(hygiene really matter to me).The place is quite cosy as well.I sort of like that restaurant except the teh c special.

Well this is who i am,suka cakap meleret-leret wahahaha..Back to the former subject, me and my mom went to one of the supermarket in Gadong.I wanted to buy pancake flour so i tried to find one.I searched and browsed..Searched and browsed..Ahah!I found it.Again, i try to find my favourite brand pancake flour and i happened to come across to it.It is a good bargain when you can buy two things at a price of one.So did this pancake flavour. Before buying things, it is a must for me to check the expiry date and guess what, the expiry date was covered with double small white stickers.Did you get it?It was ALREADY EXPIRED!Why am i not surprised..As a matter of fact, there are few premises where i always do my groceries shopping also selling many expired goods.Im okay with capitalist system but im so not okay when it comes to healthiness. They should not have sell the expired goods anymore. We all are consumers. In the context of me, i have a very sensitive tummy. So my advise is, make sure you check the expiry date, first and foremost, before put it in your trolley and walk away from the store. You may be rich but you certainly cannot buy healthiness with your wealthiness.Be a smart consumer.

Lovesick or Sick of Love?

We always hear people talking about love and these people have their own perspective about love itself, normally based on their past relationships. My mother always told me that 'orang yg baik akan mendapat jodoh yg baik'.Do you agree with that statement?I let you be the judge of it. Speaking of which,i've been in a relationship like many times and i gotta say im pessimistic when it comes to a relationship.I've already seen and met billions of men with different 'faces' with different stats. What do we,women, want from men?personally, myself i'd prefer a man with brain not a man with the look.Normally the latter is less smarter and the proportion of a man to possess both qualities are very small.I believe that when ones have good education,he can make profit out of it and often going places(what im trying to say is they have bright future and all that).
Second, ones must have good attitude and good background.Last but not least, ones who would love me unconditionally for who i am.These are only the basic actually, before you are in a real relationship, and normally a woman or man set a certain standard for her/his soulmate to be which i sort of believe that everyone of you out there have set few standards in seeking your mr/ms right. Moving on,assume that you are now in a relationship.Of course you love your girlfriend/boyfriend, no question there and i believe that every couples wanted to marry their girlfriend/boyfriend when the time has come(the intention that counts). The thing is how are you gonna make your relationship work until you reach to 'your big day' destination?Another thing is,especially for those who are already been together for quite some times(say, 5-8 years, how do you create the spark in your relationship to make the relationship more keener?

Last night, i watched 'The Break-up' movie (starring Jennifer Aniston and Vincent Vaughn).Honestly i think the guy is such an arse.He didn't know what he already had.I never met a very selfishly self-centered man like him.You see guys, no matter how boring you are when your girlfriend asked you to accompany her going to the shopping malls or watching a stupid boy band that you hate(coz you think they're a big time loser or whatsoever it is), anything that against your likeness. It's not like we wanted you to accompany us for fun(suka2) coz we have girlfriends to have that fun.

The reason why we ask you to come with us is because that we wanna spend time with you guys.Every single second is valuable every time girlfriends spend time with their boyfriends and beside it is so much fun and more enjoyable to do stuff together with boyfriends(disamping mengeratkan silaturahim huhu).I mean, fun that you couldn't find at any girlfriends.Well yeah, think about it.It brings the couple much closer together. The boyfriend knows something about his girlfriend that he didn't know before and vice versa(i guess). What im trying to say is, you get to know your boyfriend/girlfriend much better each day,as you spend more time with him/her.Sometimes we don't know or do not realised what is infront of us or what we already have..not until we lost it.Have you ever experienced it?It scarred for life!Like one of my girlfriend whom i very close with, she's a nice lady in many ways and always become the centre of attention among guys. When we were in Year 2 at UBD, she met a guy who had ultimately changed her life like forever(this is just my opinion). We always share stuff together and she told me how happy she was.Im happy for her too.One day her boyfriend asked her if she could live without him.Well, sometimes she can be naively stupid and her egos..oh my god..i don't even think it would fits to enter the Mall shopping complex.Yes, that big.Of course she said she could live without him. Then her boyfriend said how can she be so sure coz she hasn't experienced it yet.To cut the long story short, her boyfriend was staying in KB so every weekend her boyfriend went to BSB and have a sleepover at my girlfriend's.They dating for a short time only, for 5-6 months.I tell ya, she didn't faced it very well.I felt sorry for her.It took her about more than 2 years to start dating again. She always said to me that if i ever find my mr.right already, grab him but not too tight coz i may lose him and not to loose as well.Well she said something to me..She said she could't believed that it hit on her and she told me that if she could trade him with her degree she would(awww...).Because it is meaningless to hold a degree without him by his side and she was expecting to celebrate her graduation day with him(breaking up with him was so beyond the expectation).Well at least she got me.It's not like the end of the world or anything. That's not all.

Back to the main subject, what does a woman want from her man?Once you are in a relationship, the very basic ingredients in every relationship are trust, believe, have faith, being honest, loyal and so forth. It's not like we, women, asking so much from men like diamonds or pearls.No..Not that..What's the point of having all these diamonds and pearls(ust figure of speech, if you may) or lots of money when you can't have the man or woman that you love most in your life? All we want is your love and attention.Attention and love.Is that too much to ask? When we said i love you and i can't live without you,
we frickin mean it.When we asked where have you been, what's your plan later, going out with whom bla bla bla that's only because we frickin care. That's because you mean something for us, not just anybody but somebody who means alot to us.We just wanna know what you guys have been up to.Basically we just simply wanna know how your day have been. That's all.We absolutely love to be there for you guys.Me personally wish that i could be there for him everytime he needs me.Cry with him, laugh with him..everything.But when we care about you guys, you might said we're controlling your life or overreacting or whatever the reason is you guys have in your filthy mind.Is it wrong to show your concern to someone that you love?Life is so unpredictable and life is too short people. What if today is the last day you'd be seeing her/him?Have that ever come across to your mind?It is too late to regret by then when he/she's already gone forever. My point is,appreaciate the one that you have right now.Like i said, life is unpredictable, anything possibly could happened.Sometimes it could be beyond our imagination.Never fail to say i love you to your partner.Express your emotions, tell him/her what you feel inside.Let him/her know.If you feel dissatisfied over something, talk nicely and try to work things out on what to do or not to do in the future. There are millions of ways to express your feelings to your partner. Now,how do you create the spark again in your relationship? For a start, by saying i love you.Again, always express your feelings to your partner and tell them what's on your mind--get 'em off from your chest dude.Once in a while, it is nice to take her out for dinner sometimes and watch movies like the old times.Give your partner a gift, you don't have to wait till their birthdays for god sake. It'd help to cheer them up.For those who are in a relationship for long time already, how long the relationship is not matter. What matter here most is,how deep do you understand your partner--his/her likes or dislikes, good and bad habits, behaviour and attidude etc.Same thing goes to the married couple as well.

Marriage is not the end or the last stage of a relationship and marriage is definitely not a destination.Once you are married
that is when your real journey begun. When you marry your boyfriend/girlfriend, you learn more and more things from him and in fact, it is only the beginning.Although you are married already, it is nice to hear the three words once in a while from your partner. It feels that you are being appreaciated and appreciated, and your existence are acknowledged. If any one of you thinking about breaking up, you should think about it thoroughly.Think about all the times that you have spent with your partner--all the laughter and tears, ups and downs etc.Don't simply throw away your relationship just like that just because of the third party that you barely knew a moment ago.Just to be fair, what comes around goes around.Today you hurt his/her feelings, you stomp and trample their heart like s***, perhaps tomorrow your heart got torn on.Especially the married couples, divorce is not always the answer to your problem.Like the old malay saying, patah tumbuh hilang berganti.True..But it's gonna be different with the previous tumbuhan a.k.a plant.Perhaps the regrowth new plant has thorns or can easily die compared to the previous one.The thing is, it's just not the same and never be the same.We always make mistake. No doubt.Try to be more tolerant and considerate to one another.Communication is very significant in every relationship, so try to communicate with your partner as often as you possibly could.Oh..and don't forget to say thank you to your partner in whatever they have done for you, even if its the simplest thing like praising your beauty.By doing so, you make your partner feel appreciated and happy.Never fail to do that.Guys(also girls)when your girlfriends asking and wanting your attention you better give them one for god sake.It will mean alot to them.Seriously.Most importantly is, you have shown your appreciation to your beloved one in a way; it shows how important they are in your life in such a way it tells your girlfriend/boyfriend that they have become part of your life.In my personal view, which you don't have to agree with me by all means,i think that the Twilight couple(Edward & Bella) makes the best role-model couple in a relationship.Of course i know the fact that we always do stupid things in a relationship.I suggest every couples(include the married couples as well) to watch that movie.Try to learn to quote from the movie as well huhu..I also recommend you to watch 'The Notebook'.Two thumbs up!It never fails to make me cry everytime i watch that movie. It's a touching true story.I called it 'Romeo & Juliet'(coz kalah the original R & J which i found not so romantic at all).Go to your any nearby dvd store and grab one.You won't regret it.Start to express your emotions today and don't forget...

p/s: I love you...

I'm sick*cough*

I have bad cough and cold since three days ago.And today i have a running nose*sniff*.My voice changed a little and my throat memang itchy to the max!I stayed up quite late last night.I think i went to bed around 2ish am.Last night there were Year 8 and PSR students gave me a call and said they wanted to start their tuition a.s.a.p.The Year 8 students should be starting their class today actually. But im not feeling well so i have to turn them down.God Willing, their class will start on Monday. For this year i don't think i will open any tuition class for PSR level. The only thing that might change my mind to teach them(if i ever changed my mind in the future) is because starting this year they have a brand new subject, Social Studies. That means PSR students for this year need to work hard because they are no longer sitting PSR exam for 5 subjects, but 6 subjects.Jia yo students, jia yo!

In my view, it is good to make more viable options for the kids(i mean more subjects) and in the aspect of education, for those students who are interested to study more in depth about this subject they can take social studies course at the tertiary level.Me myself love social studies, it is like a combination of all courses in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences(FASS) into one.Beside it is so rugi for us anak Brunei to waste the free education privileges given by our beloved HM.Long live HM!Long live!

Speaking of which, i am so proud to be a Bruneian and memegang IC Kuning hehe.Under HM rules, we are 'spoiled' by him in so many ways like free medical fees, free education, NO tax (except for road tax where we only have to pay ONCE a year), huge subsidy supported by the government for his people like cars.Due to this, most Bruneians change their cars like changing clothes(that's also include me hahaha..but im about to sell one of my car.Interested?).Sebuah rumah have a minimum of 2-3 cars(baru minimum..belum max lagi). There's more..Brunei is so much unique in its very own way..Geographically and academically speaking, it is so hard to distinguish rural area in Brunei. An area/areas considered to be rural in terms of their:
1.housing condition
2.occupation
3.literacy rate
4.oter facilities

We know that most people who live in rural area are typically farmers, fishermen, wooden house etc. But in Brunei, it's different. They drive Toyota Vios or Mitsubishi Lancer, they have concrete double-storey houses, work in the government sector and they own AT LEAST 2 Astros. They only go for fishing as a hobby or just to kill the boredom.

In the context of Southeast Asian region,we can't compare Brunei with neighbourhood countries like Thailand,Singapore and Malaysia in terms of development. We don't have skyscrapers and modern airport like Malaysia and Singapore respectively. But again, there is one quality that ONLY Brunei has in SEA..I guess we already know that.Definitely not oil and gas, other countries also have it.Have a good guess what is it.Surrender?Hehehe..That's, my friend, what i called PEACE.Memang sesuai dengan namanya 'Abode of Peace'.Too peaceful as a matter of fact. You can't find this at any countries in SEA.No bomb, demonstration or war,no terrorist or separatist movement that we have to worry about and so forth. We are totally free from these things. The only thing that we worried about is traffic-jam(itu pun only during the peak hours).I repeat, we only worried about traffic-jam or congested road. That's all!And for that reason as well, i believe that is why most foreigners prefer to work here in Brunei. In fact that they have no intention at all to go back to their country!Food is cheap. We have B$1 stalls i.e. the Pasar Malam(Night Market) in Gadong and nasi katok(nasi bungkus) is, oh my god, so everywhere. My point is,sometimes development is not the key or answer to everything. What's the point of having all this modern technology crap if we can't/don't live in peace and harmony.Be considerate and tolerant to one another.

2PM

Annyonghaseyo..!In my previous entry i did mentioned how much i go nuts over the 2PM bands and their songs especially "I Hate You".(Oh..Just so you know, i tried to post their music video "I Hate You" a moment ago, unfortunately i couldn't.I don't know what went wrong). So i was thinking to do a little review about them.Without any further ado,let us start!

2PM is a new South Korean boy band, originally a seven-member band, group from JYP Entertainment(where the Wonder Girls also appeared). The current member of 2PM are Junsu(21), Nickhun(21), Taecheon(21), Wooyoung(20), Junho(19) and Chansung(19).Their former leader was Jaeboem(22).He withdrew from the group due to the internet controversy in September 2009(i'll explain further later).Their first single from their second mini-album "Again & Again" has released on April 23, 2009. Recently, they have won Mnet Asian Music Award 2009 as the Best Male Group and Artist of the Year.In addition, KBS Gayo Daejun chose "Again & Again" as Song of the Year.1:59pm is their first full-length album, "Heartbeat" is their first single.2PM performance's consists of a combination of hiphop dance and acrobatic onstage(as shows in their performances of "10 points out of 10 points"). Basically, all of the members are trained in dancing, acrobatics and singing.

Jaeboem, the former leader, decided to leave the group due to the internet controversy that was surfaces in his MySpace account where he claimed that he dislike for going back to Korea in 2005 when he was still a trainee for JYP Entertainment(to improve his singing and Korean).Jaeboem afterward issued an apology regarding with this matter.Although JYP CEO, Park Jin Young, stated that he'll remain be part of the group, on the following day Jaeboem announced on his official fancafe that he'd be leaving the group and returning to the USA, with plans of going back to study and improve his understanding in music.Oh i forgot to mention earlier that he was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. The reason for him going back to Korea in 2005 was because his mother made him.Her mother wanted him to go to college. So as Jaeboem wished not to attend the college, he went for audition, most importantly he auditioned exclusively in front Park Jin Young himself in the USA thus he brought Jaeboem back to Korea.

Furthermore,2PM made their first overseas performance in Thailand in late February 2009 at the Nine Entertain Awards. On June 25, they released their "Thailand Special Edition" album, and began promotions in Thailand shortly afterward. 2PM also performed at the Pop Music Awards in Pattaya. And for the first time, 2PM be advancing into the Chinese market on Nov 25th 2009 as they plan to meet their Chinese fans through the 2009 Hanryu showcase (Korea-China Music Festival feel the K-pop). It will be held in Shanghai, China. 2PM plan to gradually enter the market through promotions and the release of their first full album.

The group also starred in a reality show on M.net, titled "Wild Bunny", in which the members escaped the pressures of stardom by performing ten forbidden activities of idols. The show ran from July 21, 2009 to September 1, 2009, with seven episodes aired; the airing of the final episode, which coincidentally featured the members engaged in a "Leader Olympics" game to select a new leader, was postponed indefinitely due to Jaebeom's internet controversy and his subsequent departure from the group. In addition, Taecyeon and Wooyoung are hosting SBS(Seoul Brodcasting System)'s weekly music show Inkigayo, while Jaebeom and Chansung have also made regular appearances on 'Introducing Star Friends'. Since Jaebeom was voted off, Nichkhun replaced his position as the guest. Nichkhun and Wooyoung were also frequent guests on SBS's variety talent show Star King between April and October 2009, with the other 2PM members occasionally joining them.
