2PM

Annyonghaseyo..!In my previous entry i did mentioned how much i go nuts over the 2PM bands and their songs especially "I Hate You".(Oh..Just so you know, i tried to post their music video "I Hate You" a moment ago,unfortunately i couldn't.I don't know what went wrong).So i was thinking to do a little review about them.Without any further ado,let us start!

2PM is a new South Korean boy band, originally a seven-member band,group from JYP Entertainment(where the Wonder Girls also appeared).The current member of 2PM are Junsu(21), Nickhun(21), Taecheon(21), Wooyoung(20), Junho(19) and Chansung(19).Their former leader was Jaeboem(22).He withdrew from the group due to the internet controversy in September 2009(i'll explain further later).Their first single from their second mini-album "Again & Again" has released on April 23, 2009. Recently, they have won Mnet Asian Music Award 2009 as the Best Male Group and Artist of the Year.In addition, KBS Gayo Daejun chose "Again & Again" as Song of the Year.1:59pm is their first full-length album, "Heartbeat" is their first single.2PM performance's consists of a combination of hiphop dance and acrobatic onstage(as shows in their performances of "10 points out of 10 points"). Basically,all of the members are trained in dancing, acrobatics and singing.

Jaeboem, the former leader,decided to leave the group due to the internet controversy that was surfaces in his MySpace account where he claimed that he dislike for going back to Korea in 2005 when he was still a trainee for JYP Entertainment(to improve his singing and Korean).Jaeboem afterward issued an apology regarding with this matter.Although JYP CEO, Park Jin Young, stated that he'll remain be part of the group, on the following day Jaeboem announced on his official fancafe that he'd be leaving the group and returning to the USA, with plans of going back to study and improve his understanding in music.Oh i forgot to mention earlier that he was born and raised in Seattle, Washington.The reason for him going back to Korea in 2005 was because his mother made him.Her mother wanted him to go to college.So as Jaeboem wished not to attend the college, he went for audition,most importantly he auditioned exclusively in front Park Jin Young himself in the USA thus he brought Jaeboem back to Korea.

Furthermore,2PM made their first overseas performance in Thailand in late February 2009 at the Nine Entertain Awards. On June 25, they released their "Thailand Special Edition" album, and began promotions in Thailand shortly afterward. 2PM also performed at the Pop Music Awards in Pattaya.And for the first time, 2PM be advancing into the Chinese market on Nov 25th 2009 as they plan to meet their Chinese fans through the 2009 Hanryu showcase (Korea-China Music Festival feel the K-pop). It will be held in Shanghai, China. 2PM plan to gradually enter the market through promotions and the release of their first full album.

The group also starred in a reality show on M.net, titled "Wild Bunny", in which the members escaped the pressures of stardom by performing ten forbidden activities of idols. The show ran from July 21, 2009 to September 1, 2009, with seven episodes aired; the airing of the final episode, which coincidentally featured the members engaged in a "Leader Olympics" game to select a new leader, was postponed indefinitely due to Jaebeom's internet controversy and his subsequent departure from the group.In addition, Taecyeon and Wooyoung are hosting SBS(Seoul Brodcasting System)'s weekly music show Inkigayo, while Jaebeom and Chansung have also made regular appearances on 'Introducing Star Friends'. Since Jaebeom was voted off, Nichkhun replaced his position as the guest. Nichkhun and Wooyoung were also frequent guests on SBS's variety talent show Star King between April and October 2009, with the other 2PM members occasionally joining them.
